our culture has disjointed time of production of content from it’s time of appreciation. great effort imbued in creating has no bearing on the time the spectator feels should be invested in appreciating it. likewise, productions created at the velocity in which they are later consumed (think YouTube videos, think real-time), easily garner a disproportionate amount of hours of appreciation...
